Ken Ham's Kentucky Noah's Ark Project Construction Launches

With permits in place and other necessary elements in place, excavation on the long-promised Kentucky Noah's ark project is now under way. It is scheduled to be opened sometime in 2016. The location of the project is in Grant County in Northern Kentucky.

Ken Ham, most recently noted for his debate with Bill Nye the 'alleged' Science Guy, is heading up the project. Ham leads the ministry Answers in Genesis.

The ark itself will be built in exact proportion to the ark as it is described in the Bible. It will be 510 feet long, surrounded by a variety of other attractions of interest to families, including a petting zoo. Overall the project will entail about 200 acres.

Since the announcement the ark was going to be built in 2010, the project timeline fell behind donations, which resulted in delays.

Millions of feet of lumber will be needed to complete the overall project.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers approved of a stormwater permit in July, clearing the way for construction to begin.

Also part of the ministry is the Creation Museum that was built near to Cincinnati, and has attracted over 1 million visitors since opening in 2007.

Bill Nye, Evolution Theorist Coming to Kentucky to Debate Creation Museum's Ken Ham

Bill Nye, the self-proclaimed "Science Guy" will be coming to Kentucky to debate Creation Museum founder Ken Ham in Petersburg, according to Ham.

Nye has a propaganda show under the guise of science which he uses in some cases to try to persuade little children the world wasn't created, but simply evolved. He calls it science even though it has been proven time and time again that all evolution is, or every will be, is a theory put forth by those that don't believe in Jesus Christ in order so they don't have to obey Him.

Parents teaching that God created the universe and world have been blasted by Nye as doing them a "disservice."

Nye once said in a video produced by Big Think, that "If you want to deny evolution and live in your world that's completely inconsistent with everything we observe in the universe, that's fine -- but don't make your kids do it. We need them. We need scientifically literate voters and taxpayers for the future."

So let's get this straight. Nye is a TV personality using his platform to teach a theory that has nothing to do with observable science, and then says creation is "completely inconsistent with everything we observe in the universe." Observation of the universe actually confirms and proves the existence of Jesus Christ, as the Holy Scriptures teach. For that reason none will be with excuse when they face Him on judgement day.

People can order tickets for the debate on Monday, January 6, for $25.00. It will be held on February 4 in the museum's Legacy Hall. The debate is scheduled for two-and-a-half hours.

Kentucky Creation Museum Adds More Attractions

The popular Creation Museum in Kentucky is adding new features to attract more visitors, including a terrific bug exhibit, zip line course outside, and a display exploring the idea of whether or not some of the ancient stories about dragons were really a reference to dinosaurs.

Called Dr. Crawley's Insectorium, the new bug exhibit showcases hundreds of a variety of bugs and insects, such as butterflies and beetles. Included is a cool life-sized animatronic professor, which talks about how the complexity and variety of insects contradict the idea they had evolved over a period of millions of years.

The zip line cables are located outside, and along with the sky bridge course, are 2.5 miles long.

 

Finally, the display which explores the possibility ancient dragon and/or monster myths may have been when human beings roamed the world with dinosaurs, is placed close to the entrance of the building.

It has been six years since the Creation Museum has opened, and it has attracted almost 2 million visitors since that time.

A group of children from a local Hodgenville church took a trip to the Creation Museum over the weekend, a state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot facility which "brings the pages of the Bible to life," according to the museum website. The museum is located in Petersburg, Kentucky.

The state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot museum brings the pages of the Bible to life, casting its characters and animals in dynamic form and placing them in familiar settings. Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden. Children play and dinosaurs roam near Eden’s Rivers. The serpent coils cunningly in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Majestic murals, great masterpieces brimming with pulsating colors and details, provide a backdrop for many of the settings.


Included in the 160 exhibits at the Museum are the Garden of Eden, which visitors can walk through. Below is a photo Adam and Eve as they're portrayed in the exhibit. You also get a glimpse and feel of Noah's ark as you traverse the learning center.

Also scattered throughout the tour is some awesome dinosaurs, including T. Rex, and Triceratops, which two of the visitors are having fun sitting on.

For those who enjoy a visual theater experience, there is a terrific Special Effects Theater, which includes mists appearing to rise from the ground and fun, rumbling seats. You can see stories of the six days of creation and The Last Adam, among others. 

Visitors can also participate in the Stargazers Planetarium, where they can view an amazing visual of an extraordinary spaceflight.

Other attractions include a rain forest garden, bog garden, over 6,000 plants in a lake, representing 500 varieties. There is also a petting zoo, among numerous other exhibits and activities to partake in.

With the way the media attempts to manipulate and smother Christianity and the bible, places like the creation museum are terrific learning centers and tools for anyone to visit and learn from, while being entertained.
