Alpla, a plastic packaging company based in Austria, announced it'll be opening a manufacturing plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, resulting in the creation of 72 jobs.
Via the Kentucky Business Investment program, Alpla will receive tax incentives up to $1.9 million. The incentives are provided in response to meeting certain job and investment requirements.
The company has an international presence, having operations at 148 places in 39 countries. Alpla employs approximately 13,000 workers around the world.
Alpla will invest about $22.4 million into its move into Bowling Green.
Among the numerous products it packages are motor oils and beverages.
