Fiery Death for Former Evarts, Ky. Mayor

In what is being described as a suspicious fire, Kentucky State Police say "foul play is suspected" in the death of former Evarts, Kentucky mayor, 59-year-old Ronnie King.

After a fire at the home of Evarts was put outh, police found his body among the charred remains. The event is thought to be pre-meditated, and would point to murder.

Police didn't release any details on the cause of death of King, whose body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner's office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

King served as mayor of Evarts as well as a city councilman.

Evarts is located in Harlan County, Kentucky, near to the border of Virginia.
