Overstock.com (OSTK) recently opened a second distribution and returns facility, this one located in Hebron, Kentucky.
The online retailer said the purpose of the new facility is to cut down the time for resolving customer refunds from returns. It'll also help to reduce supply chain costs.
For Overstock.com customers in the eastern part of the United States, shipment times will be improved.
"Speed to the customer is forefront on our minds," said Jonathan Johnson, the company's acting CEO. "Overstock.com is investing in its supply chain to get product to and from customers more quickly and to remain customer-centric."
The new warehouse will bring 22 jobs to the region, with another 50 jobs expected to be added by December.
