Mitch McConnell's Crushing Defeat of Liberal Grimes

Not only did Republican Mitch McConnell beat liberal Alison Lundergan Grimes, he destroyed her in a contest that had been spun in the media as up for grabs.

McConnell garnered 57 percent of the vote while Grimes was only able to get 40 percent. It calls into question the integrity and qualifications of those conducting these polls, as well as the accuracy and legitimacy of mainstream media outlets, which attempted to make this look like an upset in the making, all the way up to McConnell crushing Grimes.


It also calls attention to the fact that Grimes doesn't represent the people of Kentucky, and if she attempts to run for office in the future, we need to send her and the Democratic Party in Kentucky that we have no interest in liberals running for office.


Now that McConnell is majority leader, he needs to get aggressive and do the things Republicans and conservative Democrats and Independents voted him in for, which is to stand against the renegade Obama and his Democrat stooges.


We'll be watching him closely on Obamacare and illegal immigration to see what he does about it.

Alison Lundergan Grimes: Obamacare's Lapdog

The extremely unpopular Obamacare law is under attack from senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell,
who is calling for a repeal of the costly health care law that the vast majority of Americans didn't want.

Only the outrageous attack and pressure of Obama on Democrats representing states and regions that didn't want the socialist law to be forced upon them brought the law into being.

Now that Mitch McConnell is calling for the repeal
of this disaster, Alison Lundergan Grimes has betrayed her real colors, as she uses the old idea that just because people in Kentucky are getting free health care, she opposes repealing the unworkable mandate.

Many people in Kentucky need to understand this is horrible for those that have to pay for their health care insurance, as costs will continue to rise because many young people refuse to sign up for it, which is the backbone of it being financially feasible in even a small way.

What Grimes and her socialist ilk don't tell you is the cost of health care for a majority of people is skyrocketing because they have to pay for others to get the care by having their premiums jump in price. This is also because Obamacare forces them to pay for health services they'll never use.

The first thing that must be done is to repeal Obamacare. That's the first and only step that needs to be considered. Everything else is speculation as to what happens next.

All this law is doing is causing hardships for working people.

McConnell has it right in saying once Obamacare is eradicated, at that time health insurance companies should be released to compete in all states without government interference. In that market atmosphere, prices would fall because of the intense competition for customers.

His opponent Grimes won't even say whether she would have voted for the unpopular law. She knows if she does, the people of Kentucky will quickly let her know at the ballot box.

The hardworking people of Kentucky need to closely watch how their lives are being affected by the higher cost of health care, and vote accordingly in the next election.

Grimes' unwillingness to tell the people of Kentucky how she would have voted, only underscores the fact she will do what her handlers from Obama tell her.

Wait until the time when your life or the life of your loved ones are on the life, and the death panels decide whether or not Obamacare will take care of you. Vote Grimes and the death party out of Kentucky.

McConnell Continues to Hammer Obamacare Disaster

While some attempt to make the attempt of Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell to blast the disastrous Obamacare initiative as a no-win situation, in truth it's a dynamic issue that is on the hearts and minds of the people of Kentucky, who are going to suffer from the extraordinary rise in insurance costs accompanying the law.

But Obamacare may not turn out to be the campaign issue that Senator McConnell hopes it will be. True, Kentuckians – like most Americans – disapprove of the Affordable Care Act. But they also live in a state where implementation of the ACA has been held up as a national model for its smooth roll out and easy interface with users. More than 1 in 10 residents is now covered by "kynect," the state-run exchange under the ACA.

The problem isn't how smoothly the state exchange was implemented; it has nothing to do with the disaster that Obamacare is. The disaster is the socialist health care law itself, which is suffocating hard-working Americans, who are paying far more than the Democrats, who are responsible for the bill, said it would.

There is also the growing long waits to get basic care, and the death panels that decide whether you're going to get care at all for some procedures.

When the election comes about in Kentucky for the Senate, Democrats and the inexperienced Alison Lundergan Grimes will have to give answers as to why they accepted Obamacare as a whole, and why the people of Kentucky are suffering as a result.

The soaring costs of medical coverage, along with the accompanying government oversight which results in it deciding who gets what type of coverage in specific cases, makes it an extremely unpopular law for those who actually make a living.

McConnell and the Republicans need to continue to hammer at this issue. It's one that the majority of the people of Kentucky oppose, as well as the majority of Americans.

Perry to Speak at Kentucky GOP Fundraiser

With the extremely unpopular Democratic President Barack Obama weighing on the party, it is good
news for the GOP in Kentucky. To add to Republican momentum in the state, Texas Gov. Rick Perry will visit Kentucky to headline a fundraiser at the Lincoln Reagan Dinner on March 15. The event will be held at Murray State University.

The hope and probability is that Republicans will take over the state House in 2014, as the debacle surrounding Obamacare, the attack on the coal industry, and the promotion of policies opposed by the majority of the electorate in Kentucky has the Democratic Party tottering, with little in the way of answers; especially when Democratic Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear continues to move almost lock-step with Obama on national policies.

It suggests the Democratic Party in Kentucky is in bed with Obama, which doesn't sit well the people of Kentucky.

Along with Perry, Kentucky senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell have also been invited to attend the event.

At this time the Kentucky House is controlled by the Democrats by a 54-46 majority. It is believed that will change next year, with the Republicans controlling the House and Senate after the 2014 elections.

Miles Blows Past Humphrey on Obamacare Issue

With the majority of Americans opposing Obamacare, it wasn't a surprise when Kentucky Republican Suzanne Miles blew past Democrat Kim Humphrey to win a house seat, after trailing Humphrey by 6 points.

The victory was attributed to a robust attack on Obamacare, which is forcing over 200,000 people in Kentucky to drop their insurance plans.

This is terrific news, as the state needs to turn even more conservative, as Democratic Governor Beshear has even called Christians dangerous when opposing protections for them.

With the victory, Republicans now have 46 seats in the 100-seat chamber.

This reinforces the strategy of Republicans to continue to hammer at the disastrous Obamacare bill, which most Americans want repealed.

If Republicans take over the chamber, it will be the first time since 1921.

Kentucky Democrats, Beshear, Obamacare and Economic Growth

It is increasingly clear that Democratic Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is a tool of the Obama administration, in light of the media assertion Obamacare is doing well in the state. That's being touted even though hundreds of thousands of people in Kentucky will lose their desired insurance carrier.

Beshear wrote an op-ed in the liberal New York Times saying Obamacare is going to be a boon for the state, and will be good for the health of the people of the commonwealth, even though it is proven there will be death panels to decide on who receives care, as well as money given to allow abortions.

What isn't reported by many news outlets in Kentucky is the fact Kentucky's economy is getting hammered, with unemployment climbing to 8.4 percent, higher than it was in October 2012.

From September 2013, the civilian labor force in Kentucky has shrunk by almost 10,000, led by a 2,100 plunge in manufacturing jobs in October. A combination of over 9,00 logging and mining jobs have been lost over the last 12 months, with the information sector losing 1,700 jobs. Building has also declining, shedding almost 2,000 jobs over the last 12 months.

Yet Beshear and the Democrats continue to plug the Obamacare disaster as a source of growth. Whenever a state counts on government programs for growth, it's going to decline, as has Beshear's Kentucky.

The pathetic and unprofessional Democratic Governor said in the op-ed when responding to the workability and/or constitutionality of Obamacare, that the people of Kentucky need to get over it.

No. The people of Kentucky need to get over Beshear, the Democrats, and senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes, who are all wrong for the conservative, god-fearing people of Kentucky.

We must reject the Democratic Party in Kentucky for moving lock-step with the liberal Obama. The only way to save the state is to vote in conservatives who represent the values of Kentuckians, and will represent them in the face of whatever opposition arises.

Big government programs are not economic growth, and until the liberal Democrats of Kentucky understand that, we need to vote them out in droves until they respond to who the people of Kentucky are and what they believe.

Democratic Governor Steve Beshear Allows Same-Sex "Marriage" Benefits to National Guard

Putting his boot in the face of the people of Kentucky once again, Kentucky Governor Steven Beshear, a Democrat, is allowing so-called spouses of homosexual National Guard members to apply for benefits.

As with a growing number of Democrats, Beshear simply sidestepped the will of the people of Kentucky, who don't recognize gay marriage as legitimate in any way.

Beshear used the decision by the Supreme Court which struck down part of the Defense of Marriage act which didn't recognize same-sex marriages, as an excuse to give the go ahead to provide benefits to these non-married people.

Based on the recommendation of Kentucky Adjutant General Edward Tonini and Beshear's affirmation of the recommendation, now homosexual National Guard members are allowed to apply for federal marriage benefits in Kentucky, even though they aren't recognized as legally married in the state.

This isn't just an outrageous slap in the fact to the people of Kentucky, but it is an direct insult to Jesus Christ whose commandments forbid homosexuality, let alone them getting married and receiving benefits.

The people of Kentucky need to remember this as the 2014 elections approach, as liberal Alison Lundergan Grimes runs for the Senate. Grimes also refuses to reject the extremely unpopular Obamacare, and instead is walking lockstep with the Democratic Party on supporting it.

Kentucky needs to let the Democratic Party know that they will no longer put up with its opposition to the conservative will of its people. The only way they will hear that message is to vote them out of office in large numbers.

Kentucky Obamacare a Disaster

 

 



The idea being put forth that Kentucky is a success for Obamacare is one that can't be backed up by facts, as the only metric being used assert success is the number of people signing up and the exchange itself is running fairly well.

When you think of it though, so what? It's the law that people have to sign up, so the idea that some people are signing up, albeit only a small percentage, can't be taken too seriously. All it means is the other exchanges around the United States are a disaster in comparison.

Where the disaster comes in is in regard to the approximate 280,000 residents of Kentucky who will lose their existing health insurance because of this disastrous health plan, even though Obama said it wasn't going to happen in large numbers.

According to Kentucky officials, around 130,000 individuals will lose their insurance and another 150,000 residents of Kentucky that are part of a small group policy will have their insurance canceled.

It's incredible that Democratic President Obama promised people this wouldn't happened, yet it is happening in such large numbers. Kentucky Democratic Governor Steve Beshear should be ashamed of himself for supporting Obamacare so strongly while the people of Kentucky suffer because of it. It's another of a growing number of reasons to vote Democrats out in the next election, including Alison Lundergan Grimes, who is running to represent the people of Kentucky in the Senate.

Her connection to Hollywood elites, who don't represent the values of the people of Kentucky, and Obama and the Democratic Party, point to her being out of touch with the the average person.

Kentucky Obamacare is already infuriating thousands of Kentucky residents, as they are forced to take on new insurance policies and drop their old policies. I guess this is what Obama, Beshear, Grimes, and Democrats consider success.

Tea Party Kentucky Challenge to Obamacare can go Forward

The lawsuit challenging the legality of the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange, or state Obamacare,
has been allowed to continue on by a judge.

Franklin County Circuit Judge Phillip J. Shepherd said he won't dismiss the lawsuit. Attorneys for the state had requested the the lawsuit be dismissed. They based that request upon the faulty assumption taxpayers in Kentucky don't have the legal standing to challenge the Kentucky Health Benefits Exchange.

The lawsuit was filed by Tea Party member David Adams, who said Democratic Governor Steve Beshear created the exchange without the required approval of the state legilature.

Adams is seeking for the work on the exchange to be halted.

If allowed to go forward, the Kentucky Health Benefits Exchange residents of Kentucky without healthcare to get it.

Kentucky Medicaid to Soar in Coverage

The size of Kentucky's Medicaid program is poised to soar by about 308,000 of additional coverage for citizens, who are forced to get coverage under Obamacare. Over 800,000 low-income residents of Kentucky are already part of the program.

Tea party activist David Adams said he believes the move will end up with additional government waste.

"Medicaid provides little more than large opportunities in health care fraud and inefficiency for politicians who can't do math."

Typically, Democratic Governor Steve Beshear was falling all over himself praising the initiative.

"I have repeatedly said that I believe it is in the best interest of the Commonwealth and its citizens to provide better access to health care for our people. My only concern was the cost. We have now done the exhaustive research and our conclusion matched what most others states have found: by expanding Medicaid, Kentucky will come out ahead in terms of both health outcomes and finances. In fact, if we don't expand Medicaid, we will lose money."

Obamacare has already soared far beyond its projected costs, so we'll see in a relatively short few years how much it'll drag on the economy of Kentucky.

Kentucky Seeks Dismissal of Lawsuit challenging Legality of Health Benefits Exchange

 

The state of Kentucky is seeking the dismissal of a lawsuit challenging whether or not it was legal for
Democratic Governor Steve Beshear to set up the Kentucky Health Benefits Exchange.

Tea Party activist David Adams and others filed the lawsuit, which alleges Beshear didn't take the required action of getting legislative approval. Beshear simply approved of the exchange by executive order, similar to his leader Obama.

State attorneys claim the lawsuit has no legal standing to go forward.

Beshear ordered the so-called Kentucky Health Benefits Exchange to be created, which forces over 600,000 uninsured residents of Kentucky to get health coverage under Obamacare.

Via the lawsuit, Adams has asked the judge to order a cease and desist on the building out of the exchange.

Ky. Lawmakers Slap Down Beshear's Veto Against Religious Freedom

Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear got a sound rebuke from the Democratic-controlled House and Republican-controlled Senate, which both overwhelmingly overrode the veto of the Governor concerning the religious freedom bill.

One thing the people of Kentucky need to understand is when you get a Democrat in power, they'll strike out against the faith community, as Beshear did. Even some Democrats of principle who opposed Obamacare were strong-armed into signing on to the legislation, which either cost them in the next election or they refused to run again, knowing they would lose in a landslide.

We in Kentucky need to take a much more critical look at Democrats in the state, as they are increasingly revealing a strong liberal bent which Kentuckians need to vote against.

When Beshear said Christian religious freedom was a threat to the Commonwealth, we saw, possibly for the first time, the outright antagonism he and the Democratic Party have for people of faith in Kentucky.

The arrogant Beshear refused to back down though, confirming the above concerns, saying, "As I explained in my veto message, I have significant concerns that this bill will cause serious unintentional consequences that could threaten public safety, health care, and individuals' civil rights."

The Democratic-controlled House passed the bill 79-15 and the Republican-controlled Senate voted for it by a 32-6 margin.

McConnell Committed to Repealing Obamacare

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said he won't back down from the battle to repeal Obamacare, as the impact is starting to be felt across the nation with higher medical costs and shrinking Medicaid and Medicare coverage.

Standing next to a stack of 20,000 pages of health care rules and regulations, which McConnell called a "monument to liberalism" at the Conservative Political Action Conference, said Republicans won't be afraid to fight back against the liberal health care disaster.

In a humorous reference to failing Democrat ideas, he said they haven't had a new one "since the days of the Studebaker." For the unenlightened, the Studebaker was a car from a long time ago that has been long abandoned.

On top of his comedy game, McConnell finished off with a reference to the possibility that Joe Biden or Hillary Rodham Clinton  would run for president in 2016, saying it would be a "rerun of 'The Golden Girls.'"

This is a funny Mitch McConnell I haven't seen too much of. I think his combination of humor and seriousness of the out-of-control liberals and Democrats is the way to go after them; revealing the devastating consequences of their world view.

Murray-Calloway County Hospital Cuts 28 Workers

Citing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement structural changes, Obamacare, and drop in patients being admitted to the hospital, Murray-Calloway County Hospital officials said they had to cut a total of 28 workers.

Also part of getting costs under control is the decision to lower the salaries of existing workers by a one-time 5 percent.

"It's just a shame that the fiscal environment outside of this hospital is causing this problem," hospital CEO Jerry Penner said. "We're just responding to this turbulent health-care environment, and we are taking the appropriate fiscal actions necessary to adjust to declining volumes and reimbursements."

Penner added that the painful cuts had to be done in order for the hospital to continue effective services. He said there will be minimal effect on the quality of care patients receive at the hospital as a result of the cutbacks.

Vicki Parks, hospital CFO, said in a letter to employees. "We must find better ways to deliver enhanced value to patients and lower the overall cost of care."

There is no doubt Obamacare and its disastrous consequences will continue to hit the health industry hard. This won't be the last hospital in Kentucky to make these types of announcements.

Kentucky Tea Party Says No to Ashley Judd, Racist Supporters

A racist attack on the wife of Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell has liberal extremist Ashley Judd reeling and offering condemnations of a group that strongly supports her running against McConnell in the next election.

The very idea by mainstream media dinosaurs in Kentucky that the Kentucky Tea Party are becoming allies of a Judd run are not only ludicrous, but outright fabrications.

There is no such alliance, and as much as Mitch McConnell has resisted siding on some important issues of the Tea Party, he looks more like Ron Paul when compared with Ashley Judd, who stands for almost everything the people of Kentucky reject.

What people are missing is while the media have partially demonized McConnell on the national level, that is far from translating to the state level, where the clueless media have little understanding of the conservative and libertarian-leaning populace.

As much as there is a general dislike for McConnell, it isn't near the level of disgust at Ashley Judd, who is nothing more than a Hollywood liberal outsider attempting to use her celebrity to buy an election. That's of course assuming she decides to run, which it looks like there is a good chance of happening.

Democrats in the state are extremely nervous because of the fact they can easily be painted with the extremist liberal brand Judd represents, which could result in a number of them being ousted from their positions. Most have already strongly suggested that they don't want Judd to run.

As for the racist Progress Kentucky, there is nothing the Tea Party and what they represent have in common, other than attempting to use the national media-induced hatred of McConnell as a rallying point. The problem is if all they can come up with is a negative, they are completely useless, as it's not enough to go against someone, there must be a viable alternative. With Judd that's not even close to being a true alternative for Kentucky, and so it leaves them with a negative message, colored with such hatred (not opposition) to McConnell, that it'll even suggest his Asian wife is a stronger supporter of China (she is actually from Taiwan) than she is of America because of her racial background.

What Progressive Kentucky is attempting to do is provide what appears to be a legitimate Tea Party alternative to McConnell, such as Matt Bevin, knowing if somehow they can knock off McConnell, they'll then throw their full support behind Judd.

Even in that scenario Judd could be beaten, but the odds of becoming a Senator from Kentucky improves.

But the liberal, Democrat-backing Progressive Kentucky shows the type of person we would get in the Obama clone Ashley Judd. The Kentucky Tea Party and Republicans have no interest in the attempt to be taken over by dictators like them who couldn't legitimately represent our interests.

After all, look at the strong-arm tactics used by Democrats against Democrats to force Obamacare on us all.

Kentucky Senate Bills Would Stop Governor from Implementing Obamacare

The highly unpopular Obamacare is receiving strong resistance from Republican members of the Kentucky Senate, as they introduced two bills which would keep Governor Steve Beshear from simply moving ahead with the process of implementing the controversial and expensive plan.

What one bill would do, Senate Bill 39, would be to remove the power from Beshear to give the go ahead to add approximately 400,000 more Kentucky residents to Medicaid under the terms of Obamacare. Instead, that authority would go to the General Assembly.

Senate Republican Leader Damon Thayer, of Georgetown, said that “this incredible growth of government we are seeing out of the current presidential administration in Washington, D.C., which this state — and the voters of this state — have rejected in two straight presidential elections in landslides.”

The other bill, SB 40, would transfer to the legislature the power to determine whether or not Kentucky should have a state-operated health care exchange.

Beshear has already declared the state will go ahead with the health care exchange, while he hasn't made a decision yet concerning expanding Medicaid in the Commonwealth.

The Senate passed both bills and they aer now headed to the House.

Kentucky May Get 1st Alternative Birthing Center

The desire by certified nurse midwife Mary Carol Akers to open an alternative birthing center in Kentucky, has been quickly met with opposition from three area hospitals, including Hardin Memorial Hospital, Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown and Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

All have filed documents with the state in opposition to the center, which would be located in Elizabethtown.

Akers has applied to the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family for what is called a certificate of need for permission to build and operate the Visitation Birth and Family Wellness Center in Elizabethtown.

Supposedly the purpose of the certificate is to "safeguard" against too many health care facilities being in the area, but that's nonsense of course. It's really an anti-competitive regulation to protect the status quo of health care in the area.

After all, with Obamacare, there are going to be so many extra patients seeking medical care in general, that any help would be needed. It's the particular birthing service that is threatening to the hospitals, as it's among the more lucrative and consistent money earners.

If Akers succeeds in getting the okay, it'll be the first alternative birthing center in Kentucky.

She will get an opportunity to defend herself and the proposed Center on February 20-21 at a hearing.

In-Store Medical Clinics Will Soar in Kentucky

With the implementation of the terrible Obamacare or so-called Affordable Care Act, it is already producing huge problems across America, as doctors and facilities can't keep up with the millions of new patients entering the system.

That's true in Kentucky as well, where one of the answers appears to be the expansion of in-store clinics to treat some of the more benign illnesses or needs, such as vaccinations and colds, among others.

As opponents of Obamacare rightly asserted, even for those new patients with a primary physician it is hard to get an appointment because of soaring demand for services.

Beyond the limited services now offered, clinics are looking to expand care to high cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension.

Numerous insurance plans are accepted by the clinics, and prices for those using cash are listed in an obvious place for all to see.

In-store clinics will become an increasing big part of Kentucky health care. At this time patients visiting clinics like this across America have reached over 20 million.
