Residents of Kentucky need to vehemently oppose the bill that Senate lawmakers quietly and sneakily passed, which forces gun owners in the commonwealth to have an RFID system installed on all registered firearms.
This is an outrage, one that should and will result in the removal of lawmakers who have outrageously went against the will of the people of Kentucky.
The corrupt officials have chosen the town of Winchester in Clark County in an attempt to send a message to the populace that they will implement gun control measures on the people of the state. We must send a message to these officials that they will no longer represent the people of Kentucky. Winchester was chosen because of its name.
If the people of Kentucky don't take immediate action, this bill will result in the forced installation of RFID chips on all registered firearms.
People who don't comply with the law will be heavily fined, face jail time, or possibly have their firearm taken away from them.
Let your representatives know that they will pay a heavy price if they don't repeal this evil law. We must let them that no longer represent us understand and experience the pain of recall or being voted out of office.

Somerset Student Charged with Felony over Bringing Gun to School
In an overreaction by school authorities at Southern Elementary School in Somerset, Kentucky, an 11-year-old boy was charged with a felony for bringing a gun to school, one that he forgot in his pants after sports shooting the day before with his dad.
The student, after being dropped off at school, discovered he had forgotten the gun in his pocket and told his teacher he had it.
According to Pulaski County Sheriff Todd Wood, the little boy has a court appearance where he will be tried as a juvenile.
A letter from Keith Patrick, principal at Southern Elementary, included this:
Sheriff Todd Wood then started creating scenarios of what could have happened, saying “Someone might be looking at the gun who doesn’t know about any type of gun safety, or it could go off accidentally and shoot (the juvenile suspect) himself. There are so many scenarios that could go wrong and pose so many different threats.”
It's disgusting to see this principle and sheriff cover their rear ends by making this unfortunate but innocent event into far more than it was.
The idea of pursuing felony charges against an 11-year-old boy, as well as threatening possible action against the father of the boy is ludicrous and positioning at best.
Facts are nothing happened, and while there was irresponsibility involved, it was totally an accident that should have been left alone once the boy let it be known he had accidentally left the gun in his pants.
How can it be illegal to forget something, even it if is a gun?
The boy is getting punished for doing the right thing, sending a message that students should keep things secret if they will end up getting in trouble for telling the truth. It should have been handled privately and out of the media and limelight. Is this mainstream media and anti-2nd Amendment people using the boy as a scapegoat and prop for their agenda?
Seeing the ridiculous response from authorities seems to point that way.

Regardless of the self-report and seemingly lack of motive on the part of the student, this matter is being handled with the utmost concern, urgency and seriousness that it deserves. The Pulaski County School System will pursue any criminal charges as allowable and the student was removed from school.

Kentucky Concealed Gun Classes Jump
Concerns over the attempt by the government to trash the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms has citizens of Kentucky coming out in record numbers to take concealed gun classes because of uncertainty surrounding where gun restrictions may go.
According to the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice, the number of people in Kentucky taking classes in January, 2013, climbed to the highest level in about a decade.
While the the numbers in February were down from January, they still stood at almost double of what they were in any month for 2012. February's total fell to 8,677 taking the classes.
One police officer from Louisville that conducts concealed gun courses says they are packed around the state, confirming it's have to find ammo for some guns; specifically .22-caliber and 9 mm handguns. Prices at times have doubled for the ammo for these two guns.
Since 1996 when the people of Kentucky were first allowed to carry concealed firearms, 243,924 concealed carry licenses have been awarded. That shows how much it has picked up over the last couple of months.

Kentucky's Keith Pitts AR-15 Business Soaring
Before the mass killing at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Keith Pitt's AR-15 business in Lexington, Kentucky was growing at a good pace, but after the murders he couldn't keep up with orders, as people bombarded his online store in anticipation of the possibility AR-15s would be banned or restricted.
Orders became so robust that Keith has had to temporarily close his online store, which is found at Accurate Armory.
On the front page of the popular site there is a message that says this: "Due to the overwhelming demand for AR-15 rifles in the current political climate, we are so back ordered that we have taken our online store offline, temporarily."
While orders can no longer be made on the site, it does leave an email address for those who don't mind waiting in line to acquire a rifle from Pitts' company.
Below the header on the site is the slogan, "The New Kentucky Rifle," referring to the old Kentucky rifle (a muzzleloader) which was huge factor in the Revolutionary War where America won its independence.
As for the AR-15 rifles produced by Pitts, they are of quality that semiautomatic rifle enthusiasts highly desire.
Media outlets love to call rifles like this "assault rifles," even though data show they are very rarely used in homicides when compared to the overall picture. For example, in 2009 less than 350 people were murdered in America using any rifle in general. That's out of about 10,000 or so homicides using firearms
By fans of AR-15s, they are rightly considered what they really are - a "modern sporting rifle." That's not just a catch-phrase, it is what it's primarily used for, and guys and ladies consider them a lot of fun to play with, and secondarily as a tool for self-defense.
As for Pitts, he now has the happy dilemma of deciding on how quickly he wants to grow the company. He has had a hand in making every one of the approximate 50 rifles produced at the shop on a monthly basis, and now it looks like, according to Potts, it could rise to ten times that many.
His challenge, as with all business owners at this stage of their operations, is whether or not to let go and trust his employees with what he undoubtedly consideres his babies. That's not as easy to do as some may think.
A number of gun outlets selling Pitts' rifles consider it to be among the best guns in the world. That is because he has always built them to at minimum meet, and usually beat military specifications. Many of his customers are military, police, and those formerly in the military or law enforcement. Others include hunters, collectors and target shooters.
"We got so good that the government inspectors were told they didn't need to make origin inspections in the shop," Pitts said. Inspections now are done when the guns or parts are delivered.
Pitts does no advertising at his shop or anywhere else. It's all done by word of mouth. At his physical shop it's "by appointment only."
He offers five standard colors and a highly desirable sand matte finish. Costumers can also order custom colors if the want something different.
Another significant part of Pitts' business is government contracts for gun parts that meet materials, dimensions, durability and accuracy standards.
With the seal of approval of the defense department, that has been the main cause for the business growing, along with the current regulatory atmosphere creating uncertainty for certain rifle models.
Other than market forces driving up prices, Pitts has committed to not artificially inflating his prices, and anyone wanting a gun made by him and his company can get one as long as they place their name on a waiting list.
It sounds like he will have no trouble with customer demand for a long time to come. Those seeking the best in guns will make sure that's the case for Pitts and Accurate Armory.

Kentucky Sheriff Owes $277,915 to Fiscal Court
After a state audit of a sheriff located in eastern Kentucky, it was found there were a number of errors in management that resulted in a budget deficit reaching over $100,000.
Jackson County Sheriff Denny Peyman owes $277,915 to the Fiscal Court for payroll assistance, after errors with "disallowed expenditures" were discovered, as well as failure to properly verify fuel purchases and for going over the salary limits allowed.
Responding to the audit, Peyman said he has been working on the issues raised, and said all the paperwork is current, has implemented new policies in regard to fuel purchases, and will repay $519 for jury meals which were counted as expenditures when the jury hadn't met on that specific day.
The Jackson County Sheriff's office was taken over by the fiscal court in November 2012.
Peyman came to national attention when he was among the first of America's sheriffs to say he won't enforce any federal gun control laws in his county.

Mitch McConnell Attacked for Supporting Guns
In probably one of the stupidest and biggest waste of money I've ever seen in attacking Senate
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, is that from gun control fanatics and Second Amendment trashers - The Progressive Change Campaign Committee.
Politico reported the group has spent over $100,000 attacking McConnell on gun control ... in Kentucky. Not only are they incredibly ignorant, but they have actually strengthened McConnell, who will defiantly, and to his benefit, wear it as a badge of honor.
Here's what the midget co-founder of this obscure group said, “Mitch McConnell is fundamentally out of step with voters back home and we will hammer him over and over again until he stops obstructing progress. Let the political world be clear: If Mitch McConnell from the red state of Kentucky is not immune on the gun issue, no Republican politician is immune.”
McConnell campaign manager Jesse Benton responded, saying this in a statement:
“Senator McConnell is committed to protecting the Constitutional Rights of every single Kentuckian,” McConnell campaign manager Jesse Benton said in a statement. “Far-left George Soros funded groups are dead-set on eroding our rights and have put a big target on his back, but they will not weaken Leader McConnell’s commitment to principle.”
Maybe they should have waited for the recent vote of the Kentucky senate which nullified any federal gun laws, orders, rules or regulations enacted by government officials.
What these quacks are doing is using the term "assault" and "weapon" in the same phrase, as if the words have anything at all to do with semi-automatic or automatic rifles.
The truth is under 400 people a year in the entire United States, as of 2009, were murdered using a rifle of any kind. That's out of over 9,000 deaths coming from guns. There isn't really any such thing as an assault weapon in the hands of all the law-abiding American citizens, and even the criminals use them seldom to murder people.
All politics are in truth becoming local. There is no doubt Mitch McConnell has just got a boost in the minds of the people of Kentucky in supporting the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms and protect our families.

Kentucky Senate Says No to Federal Gun Control Laws
Kentucky is the latest state to pass a bill that forbids the enforcement of federal gun control laws, if they're actually passed.
By a vote of 34-3, the Kentucky Senate agreed the Commonwealth wouldn't take heed to the trashing of the Second Amendment.
The three voting against the bill were of course Democrats. From Louisville were Gerald Neal and Morgan McGarvey, and from Lexington was Kathy Stein. Remember them in the next election.
Sponsoring the bill was Berea Republican Sen. Jared Carpenter, who says the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution only applies to Congress when it is in operates within the powers afforded it. Restrictions on guns aren't deemed as within that authority, according to Carpenter, and he's of course right.
Included in the bill are semiautomatic firearms and magazines, and says federally required registration and restrictions on gun ownership aren't enforceable.
Per the bill, any federal orders, rules or regulations won't be attempted to be enforced in Kentucky.

1,000 Kentuckians Show up in Florence for Day of Resistance Rally

Kentucky citizens, as well as a majority of American citizens, oppose the outrageous dictates of Obama, where he has attempted to implement 23 executive orders which could devastate law-abiding citizens and their ownership of guns.
Congressman Thomas Massie spoke at the rally. Massie is an ally of gun owners and supporters of the Second Amendment, working to get rid of the outrageous gun free school zones.
Massie said, “I decided you could do something possibly with legislation to prevent another shooting like that – you could take a law off the books that creates vulnerable populations.”
There is no doubt the answer to protecting people in public places and limiting fatalities is to have armed and trained people ready to take on the lunatics.
Administrators, teachers, or others working in schools should be ready to defend and protect at a moments notice. The only way to do that is to have them armed.

Kentucky Woman Talks Guns and Protection
Guns are a big part of Kentucky life and culture, and along with using guns for hunting and recreational shooting, it's also the final protection against the threat of an intruder in the home.
Yahoo conducted some interviews recently with a focus on gun owners, and an unnamed Kentucky woman was among those chosen to express their views.
She goes on to say that all of the members of her family usually carry firearms on them, and they practice several times throughout the year to keep themselves sharp.
Yahoo conducted some interviews recently with a focus on gun owners, and an unnamed Kentucky woman was among those chosen to express their views.
As a mother, I have a maternal instinct to keep my baby safe. I don't think that taking my families' guns away is helping the cause. As a gun owner, I believe it is important to be aware of guns, how to use guns, and the safety measures to owning a firearm. As a citizen, I question if our government is truly trying to keep us safe, if they are just looking in the wrong direction for a solution, or if there is something more sinister behind some of the gun laws.
My husband purchased a pistol several years ago. Shooting is a hobby for us, but it was also purchased for protection. Plan B, as I call it. Plan A is to lock my doors and mind my own business. If that fails, well, I have Plan B.
She goes on to say that all of the members of her family usually carry firearms on them, and they practice several times throughout the year to keep themselves sharp.

Kentucky Gun Owners in "Day of Resistance" Against 2nd Amendment Foes
Around the nation hundreds of cities are participating in a "Day of Resistance" on February 23, 2013, against the outrageous attempt to crush the 2nd Amendment and whittle away at the right of American citizens to bear arms.
The attacks started once Obama used the recent killings be a deranged gunman in order to promote the anti-gun agenda of his elite, liberal supports. He issued 23 executive actions against your 2nd amendment Constitutional right to bear arms; all of that without Congress giving its consent.
In Kentucky there are at least two meetings that will be offered for citizens wanting to show their solidarity in opposing this attempt to confiscate their guns.

Gun Companies Won't Sell Regulated Arms to State Governments
Six gun manufacturers, including LaRue Tactical, York Arms, Olympic Arms, Extreme Firepower Inc, LLC, Templar Custom and Cheaper than Dirt, have let it be known that they won't be selling their products to state government agencies that have opposed the 2nd Amendment and the right of American citizens to bear arms.
Grass Roots North Carolina and Guns Save Live, a couple of 2nd Amendment organizations, have been pressuring larger gun manufacturers like Glock, Sig Sauer and Smith and Wesson to make the same decision and refuse to sell their products to states instituting gun laws contrary to the right for Americans to bear arms.
Some of the companies made their limitations based upon what residents aren't allowed to buy, while others announced they won't be doing any business with the respective states.
Here are the announcements made by each company:
* LaRue Tactical
Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.
* York Arms
Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.
* Olympic Arms
Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity - will no longer be served as customers.
In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York - henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.
* Extreme Firepower Inc, LLC
The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms. Law-enforcement agencies are typically exempt from these restrictions. EFI, LLC does not recognize law-enforcement exemptions to local, state, and federal gun control laws. If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.
* Templar Custom
We will not sell arms to agents of the state of New York that hold themselves to be "more equal" than their citizens.
As long as the legislators of New York think they have the power to limit the rights of their citizens, in defiance of the Constitution, we at Templar will not sell them firearms to enforce their edicts.
Templar Custom is announcing that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee will no longer be served as customers.
* Cheaper than Dirt
Recently, companies such as LaRue Tactical and Olympic Arms have announced that they will no longer sell prohibited items to government agencies and personnel in states that deny the right to own those items to civilians. It has been and will continue to be Cheaper Than Dirt’s policy to not to sell prohibited items to government agencies and/or agents in states, counties, cities, and municipalities that have enacted restrictive gun control laws against their citizens. We support and encourage other companies that share in this policy.
These are terrific and brave decisions by these companies. If the larger companies were to join in, we will see some quick turnaround in decisions by those states opposing the 2nd Amendment.

Kentucky Senate Passes "Safety Drill" Bill
An odd bill was passed by the Kentucky Senate dubbed Senate Bill 8, which requires schools in the state to have safety drill two times a year where the classes will take place in classrooms that are locked. Doors into the school will also be required to be locked during the drills.
The bill, which was passed by a 37-0 vote, will be sent to the House for approval. For some reason a similar bill was filed in the House, even though the one that passed is already on its way.
According to Sen. Mike Wilson, R-Bowling Green, the bill that passed in the Senate is based upon recommendations coming from the Kentucky Center for School Safety.“School safety, security, involves so much more than just locking the school down,” he said.
Schools will also be required to put emergency response plans in place and update them on an annual basis. One part of the plan that must be performed is to have only a single access point to a school with secondary exits for backup safety.
All of this is fine, although largely irrelevant. It's just a show bill so politicians are seen to be doing something about school safety.
The best and only real deterrent is to have some administrators and teachers trained and armed so they can quickly and efficiently end any threat to the students or their colleagues.

Kentucky Gun Sales Soar on Uncertainty
Uncertainty as to what may be attempted to put in place in regard to restrictions on guns has resulted in a surge in gun sales in Kentucky, which already is the top state in the nation in background checks concerning those wanting to buy a gun.
Some gun dealers around the state, and the nation for that matter, have stated that Barack Obama has been the best marketer of guns, as his comments and rhetoric have generated huge guns sales across the state and nation.
Many gun dealers say it's extremely difficult to find a new gun at this time because demand has resulted in wholesalers selling out, causing shortages at the retail level.
Consequently, the price of guns in Kentucky and other states have went up in price as well because of the difficulty in obtaining one.
Some gun buyers have found an outlet in police auctions, where by state law guns confiscated from criminals must be offered for sale to the general public.

More Ammo Against Gun Control Fanatics
The rapidly changing world of technology is already co-opting the idea of trying to control guns by liberal politicians. They know it to.
Already there are 3-D printers out there where software can be downloaded which can produce a weapon that is able to shoot bullets.
The idea of gun registration is already laughable, but in the emerging world of 3-D printing it's even more of a joke, as once the price of the printers come down, similar to when personal computers first came on the scene, pretty soon everyone will own one, and from there it's only a matter of using software to produce the parts at home with your own printer.
There is no way in the world any of this will be able to be reversed, and so politicians need to embrace that reality, as no law made will keep this from happening very quickly.
I think Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, and others, have the right idea when they say school administrators and teachers need to be trained and armed, as far as protecting children in public schools goes, as that is the only way to ensure students can be relatively safe in a world that includes evil people in it.
No matter what laws may pass, if any, it will do nothing to stop the proliferation of firearms, so answers such as protection need to be in place, rather than the unrealistic idea that guns can be removed from the homes of law-abiding, and unfortunately, criminal Americans.
In other words, the focus needs to be on stopping violence by meeting it with force, not the ridiculous idea guns can be eliminated from the nation. It's not going to happen.

Ban Democrat John Yarmuth
Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Ky., continues his assault on the 2nd Amendment and the freedom of the residents of Kentucky, joining Obama in an attempt to cut back on American freedoms even more.
Yarmuth attacked the National Rifle Association members and CEO Wayne Lapierre, saying their major focus is to sell more weapons. The idea that members of the NRA's primary purpose is to sell more weapons is an outrageous lie that Yarmuth and the Democratic Party he belongs to needs to apologize for.
The idea that members of the NRA in Kentucky have as their goal the selling of weapons can't even be taken seriously. These are the types of lies and strong-arm tactics Obama and his allies like Yarmuth are using in an attempt to strip away our rights. We must oppose them totally and completely.
As Wayne Lapierre said, “Independent studies, including a study from the Clinton Justice Department, proved that ban had no impact on lowering crime.” He's correct of course, and the gun issue has nothing to do with firearms, but the condition of the human heart and individual person that is wielding them.
No law or restrictions can change that, and it's only the criminals that will have guns once Democrats like John Yarmuth are given their way.
So the idea of background checks having any deterrent on violent crime where guns are used is a false and faulty one. Like anyone is naive enough to believe a criminal is going to check in somewhere before obtaining a gun of any sort. It's ridiculous to the point of being laughable.
What's driving this is the sense of helplessness people feel after a tragedy happens when guns are used to kill people. Unfortunately we live in a world with sin, and no law will ever be able to change the fact that there is evil in the world.
People are arrested all the time for killing with a variety of weapons, including baseball bats, knives, and other implements. Are we to ban all of them too. Are we to have background checks with those and other items as well?
In the end we'll just become a police state attempting to create an utopia on earth that will become an enemy of freedom and the citizens it asserts it's trying to protect.
We will never live in a perfect world, and the Utopian and dangerous liberals like John Yarmuth better learn that quick. Next election let's remind him of that fact as we vote him out of office.
Some at this time may be thinking or asking themselves the question of what about the next time innocent people and children are killed? The answer is how can anybody stop a person intent on killing anyone else.
The only way to limit or stop the damage is to train and arm some of the administrators and teachers in schools and other public areas to the point where they can defend their charges. This has worked in church buildings around America, which had had its members attacked on a consistent basis until they started defending themselves. That will work in every circumstance, and is a strong deterrent from wannabee killers.

Courier-Journal Gun-Control Poll a Joke
The liberal newspaper rag of Kentucky, the Courier Journal, is using polls to attempt to make it appear the residents of Kentucky support Obama's attack on the 2nd Amendment and the values of the vast majority of Kentucky residents.
Most people must understand that polling, in many cases, are used as a tool to sway public opinion, and the questions are asked in a way that confuses respondents.
So when the Courier Journal screams in it headlines that "Many of President Barack Obama's gun-control measures supported in Courier-Journal Bluegrass Poll," and then deceivingly assert "a majority of Kentuckians support gun-control measures proposed by President Barack Obama," you can see they are using SurveyUSA polling as a means of trying to make the people of Kentucky believe something they in fact don't.
In other words, these are mind games being employed because of the cynical paper believing the people of Kentucky are too stupid to see through their strategy.
An anemic 700 Kentucky residents took part in the poll, and allegedly 56 percent of them are in favor of "stricter gun-control laws."
What is 56 percent of 700 people polled? It's 392 people. So according to the Courier Journal, the 392 people in Kentucky (assuming they even understood the poll questions) who say they believe that gun laws need to become stricter, encompass the beliefs and values of the entire state.
Again, this is pathetic, and using the same polling company, found out from 609 registered voters that they oppose U.S Senator Mitch McConnell by a 2-1 margin. Here's the link to that "poll." Bookmark this page and come back when McConnell runs again to see if the 2-1 margin yelled out by the Courier Journal is true or not.
The bottom line is polling, even when done honestly and correctly, isn't an exact science, or a science at all, and many times are found to be nowhere nearly as accurate as the results portray. There is no doubt with these two polls that this is true, as we'll see going forward.
It's amazing to see this newspaper subject itself to be the laughing stalk it is by printing these poll results as if they are meaningful or accurate in any way. This mainstream media newspaper is already considered a joke by many, but to reveal itself as the court jester of news, or class clown of Kentucky media, is a terrific, but unexpected surprise.

NRA: Gun Owners Won't Accept Blame for Violent Criminals
The CEO of the National Rifle Association (NRA), Wayne LaPierre, is set to speak to a Senate panel Wednesday, reportedly ready to tell the lawmakers that there should be no new gun-control laws put into effect.
“Law-abiding gun owners will not accept blame for the acts of violent or deranged criminals,” LaPierre said.
“Nor do we believe the government should dictate what we can lawfully own and use to protect our families,” added LaPierre.
This comments come from a press release of the NRA concerning what LaPierre's initial comments will be.
Per the release, he also will state this:
The attempt to implement gun control, which without a doubt will eventually lead to the attempt to confiscate all firearms, is completely wrong-headed. Why that's so is because God Himself has revealed to us it's what is inside of man that is wrong.
That's why there are all sorts of ways people murder other people, with guns being just one of many.
LaPierre has called for armed security guards at all schools, while Republican Kentucky Senator Rand Paul says there should be administrators and teaches in schools that are trained and armed to deal with any shooter that may show up.
The bottom line is law has never been able to deal with the actions of man, as it's what's inside of man where the evil comes from. That's why Jesus Christ came, saying the law can never save, but was put in place in order to point to Him, who is the only one that can change people within.
Gun owners and the NRA have absolutely nothing to do with the crazy and evil people that kill; it's a human condition which can't be solved through laws, but only by meeting that force with an equal force that will end the attempted carnage.
Those in churches that were being attacked found out when they started having armed members who didn't hesitate to defend the congregation, the shootings almost completely dried up. That looks to be the best way to approach a problem that is one of human nature, not one that has anything to do with guns other than it's the weapon of choice of some of those looking to kill people.
What is really happening is the liberals, most Democrats, and the current administration, are using the recent tragedy of murdered school children in an attempt to confiscate the firearms of law-abiding citizens, to the end that once they do that there will be nothing to stop a corrupt government from doing anything it chooses to. That's why the Second Amendment was added when it was, in order to be a final check and balance to rulers who want to become dictators and abandoning the rule of law.

While we’re ready to participate in a meaningful effort to solve these pressing problems, we must respectfully — but honestly and firmly — disagree with some members of this committee, many in the media, and all of the gun control groups on what will keep our kids and our streets safe.
But there are things that can be done and we ask you to join with us. The NRA is made up of millions of Americans who support what works … the immediate protection for all — not just some — of our school children; swift, certain prosecution of criminals with guns; and fixing our broken mental health system.

Democrat Extremist Schumer: NRA is "Extreme"
Goofy Democratic senator from New York, Chuck Schumer, said in an interview with the liberal, leftist HuffPost that the National Rifle Association is a "very extreme" and "fringe group." Fringe group? It has millions of members, and most of those that own guns agree with what the NRA represent.
Schumer made up a story and said that the NRA "don’t even represent average gun holders.” What does that nonsensical comment even mean? Does he mean that there are millions of Americans that have guns that aren't part of the NRA? If so, so what? That's a meaningless statement.
