Rand Paul Blasts Hillary Clinton for Failed Leadership in Benghazi Debacle

Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul chastised Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her lack of leadership concerning the death of Libyan Christopher Stevens, who was murdered in an uprising that resulted from a lack of security at the Embassy.

Clinton asserted she had no knowledge of the request for increased security at the Embassy, confirming her ineptitude in the circumstance, calling into serious question whether or not she should have been allowed to continue on as Secretary of State.

Paul said she should have been relieved of her position, adding she would have been if he had been president at the time.

“Had I been president at the time and I had found that you had not read the cables from Benghazi, you had not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens. I would have relieved you of your post.”

Paul concluded that Clinton is directly responsible for the deaths incurred on in the September 11, 2012 attacks, based upon her outrageous dereliction of duty by not even bothering to read the requests coming in from Stevens concerning requests for increased security.

“Not to know of the requests for security really, I think, cost these people their lives,” he said.
Clinton is a disgrace and should be pressured to step down.
