Kentucky Couple Pleads Guilt to Charges of Animal Cruelty

A Kentucky couple taking animals to a flea market in Tennessee ended up being charged with 134 counts of cruelty to animals, after they were pulled over by police because they had no tail lights.

Pulling a horse trailer full of animals and birds were Charlie Gregory and Taniciah Little, who pleaded guilty to the charges. After searching the trailer it was discovered the couple didn't have any food and water for the animals while transporting them.

The animals were taken to the Claiborne Animal Shelter, which said one dog and five rabbits had died.

Gregory and Little were given suspended one-year jail terms on Thursday and forbidden from owning animals for a period of one year.
